After copying Snapchat in Instagram, WhatsApp, and the main Facebook app, Facebook is turning to Messenger.

On Thursday the company announced Messenger Day, which works like Snapchat Stories by letting you post photos and videos to your profile that disappear after 24 hours. A new row of thumbnails at the top of the Messenger app will show the latest posts from your friends.

MOSCOW (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin is hosting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for talks expected to focus on the situation in Syria.

Greeting Netanyahu at the start of their talks, Putin emphasized a high level of trust between them.

The US will need to invest more than $4.5 trillion by 2025 to fix its failing infrastructure

The United States' roads, bridges, and levees are in need of massive restoration.

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) said the US will need to invest $4.59 trillion by 2025 to improve the nation's infrastructure in its Infrastructure Report Card, an assessment of the nation's infrastructure that comes out every 4 years. The ASCE gave the US' infrastructure an overall grade of D+, the same score it received in 2013.

The £41.56 million ($50.6 million) is a reduction on £63 million ($76.6 million) Sorrell made from the LEAP share scheme last year, meaning his overall package for the year is likely to reduce from 2015’s £70 million to around £50 million.

MOSCOW (AP) — Russia's foreign minister says the WikiLeaks dump of purported U.S. intelligence has highlighted the CIA's reported capability to imitate an electronic trace usually left behind by hackers from other nations.

Sergey Lavrov said Thursday that while Russia has been accused of leaving its "fingerprints" after hacks on the U.S., documents released by WikiLeaks show that "the CIA could get access to such 'fingerprints' and then use them."

Belgian police arrest 24-year old woman suspected of planning attack

BRUSSELS (AP) — Belgian authorities have arrested a woman suspected of helping people who planned to launch an attack somewhere in Europe.

Federal prosecutors said Thursday that the 24-year-old woman, identified as Molly B., was picked up during a police raid overnight on March 7.

A statement said a probe shows "indications of assistance being provided by the woman to persons with the intention to commit an attack in Europe."

Traders are paying 'extortionate fees' to short Snapchat (SNAP)

Traders are paying "extortionate fees" of 15% to 20% to borrow shares of Snap in order to short them, according to figures reported by Simon Colvin, a research analyst at IHS Markit.

Snap shares surged 44% in their March 2 debut and hit a high of $28.84 the following day before short sellers emerged, driving the price below $21 on Tuesday. Snap recovered a bit on Wednesday, settling at $22.81.

Initial jobless claims jumped more than expected.

Claims, which count the number of people who applied for unemployment insurance for the first time in the past week, rose by 20,000 to 243,000.

Economists had forecast claims would rise to 238,000 from the prior week's reading of 223,000, which was the lowest count since March 1973.

The petro-currency is down by 2.1% at 59.3843 per dollar as of 7:49 a.m. ET.

This move follows the earlier drop in oil prices. Brent crude oil, the international benchmark, is down by 2.0% at $52.02 per barrel as of 7:51 a.m. ET.
