President Barack Obama said accusations of widespread voter fraud amounted to "fake news" during the last press conference of his administration on Wednesday.

"This whole notion of voting fraud, this is something that has constantly been disproved," Obama said. "This is fake news."

Netflix crushed its subscriber growth targets, and the stock is soaring (NFLX)

Netflix had a huge beat on its Q4 subscriber growth numbers, both in the US and internationally, trouncing both Wall Street expectations and its own guidance.

The stock popped more than 8% on the news.

Netflix also beat on EPS and revenue, which was up 36% year-over-year.

President Barack Obama declined to comment on Wednesday when asked about congressional Democrats who have announced plans to boycott President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration.

"With respect to the inauguration, I am not going to comment on those issues," Obama said. "All I know is I'm going to be there. So is Michelle."

In its annual report, the 2016 Tall Building Year in Review, the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) has announced that 2016 saw the completion of a record 128 buildings 655 feet or higher.

Credit Suisse will pay a $5.3 billion settlement over pre-crisis mortgage-backed securities

Credit Suisse formally agreed to pay $5.3 billion to settle with U.S. authorities over claims it misled investors in residential mortgage-backed securities it sold in the run-up to the 2008 financial crisis, the U.S. Department of Justice said said on Wednesday.

Zurich-based Credit Suisse will pay a $2.48 billion cash penalty and provide $2.8 billion in consumer relief, the Justice Department said in a statement.

Federal Reserve Board Chair Janet Yellen said the Fed is close to meeting its dual goals of full employment and price stability but can't be precise about the timing of interest-rate hikes.

In a speech titled "The goals of monetary policy and how we pursue them," Yellen said she and most of her colleagues expect to raise interest rates "a few" times this year.
