The U.S. government on Friday dropped its effort to force Twitter to identify users behind an account critical of President Donald Trump, the social media company said. In response, Twitter said it was dropping a federal lawsuit against the U.S. government that challenged the request to unmask the users. NEW YORK (AP) — On the second day of his life as an octogenarian, former big league pitcher Phil Regan walked out to the infield and threw batting practice for the New York Mets. Regan, 96-81 during 13 big league seasons, is in his ninth season with the Mets and is their assistant minor league pitching coordinator. Regan coached since retiring as a player and managed Baltimore in 1995, when Cal Ripken Jr. broke Lou Gehrig's consecutive games record.
