Federica Falzon has been appointed as Malta’s spokesperson of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria, on Saturday. She will be reading out the points of the Maltese jury towards the end of the festival that goes live on TVM 2 at 7.30pm and transmitted later on TVM.
Federica represented Malta at last year’s Junior Eurovision here in Malta and performed the song Diamonds, penned by Elton Zarb and Matt “Muxu” Mercieca, well-known for writing entries such as The Start, Warrior and this year’s entry Not My Soul, being sung by Destiny Chukunyere.
Federica managed to get a respectable fourth place behind Italy, Bulgaria and Armenia, the second best placing of the country in the short history of the contest.
Federica is launching a memoir, her first autobiography named Ghaziza 2014 (Dear 2014), where she recalls and tells what she was going through and how happy she felt after winning Ti Lascio Una Canzone, when she got to sing with Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja and her experience at the Junior Eurovision.
The book is available in main book stores and at Terranova Outlets.
