The Nation's Weather for Monday, May 20, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A decline in coverage for severe thunderstorms is expected
during the daylight hours tomorrow. However, storms at
night may produce hail, flooding rainfall and damaging wind
gusts within a zone from the Kansas-Nebraska border to
southern Minnesota. Thunderstorms farther to the east in
portions of Wisconsin and Illinois may also be able to
produce strong wind into the evening. A separate
disturbance will be able to spark numerous thunderstorms
within the Florida Peninsula as the day progresses,
especially on the Atlantic side of the state. Otherwise, a
large swath of territory from the West Coast through the
Southwest, southern Plains and much of the Eastern Seaboard
looks to be dry. However, a broad storm delivers rain and
mountain snow showers to the Intermountain West.
