Nursing college plans activities for 100th anniversary

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing is planning several activities to celebrate its 100th anniversary. What was called the University of Nebraska School for Nurses opened with 13 students on Oct. 16, 1917. Since then, the college has graduated more than 14,500 students. Brothers indicted in alleged counterfeit conspiracy

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Two brothers have been indicted in federal court for allegedly conspiring to counterfeit money and maintaining a marijuana growing operation out of an Oklahoma City home. Man's murder convictions in 2 Tucson killings overturned

(AP) — An appellate court has overturned a man's second-degree murder convictions in the 2013 shooting deaths of two Tucson men but affirmed his convictions for aggravated assault in the same case. The ruling said the two defenses are inconsistent but that it's up to the jury to determine the facts so jurors needed to hear an instruction about self-defense if there was any evidence of justification.

UNMC College of Dentistry awarded $4M state contract
