Student charged after shooting outside a restaurant

HUEYTOWN, Ala. (AP) — Police say a central Alabama high school student accused of shooting a teenager outside a fast-food restaurant has been arrested. Hueytown Police Chief Chuck Hagler tells Al.com (http://bit.ly/2cLNNtQ ) that the teen is charged with first-degree assault as a juvenile after the shooting occurred at McDonald's Friday night. Hagler says the shooter is a student at Hueytown High School, but unsure if the victim is a student. The victim was taken was shot twice and taken to UAB Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
