Truckers cite weather, blow-over risk as top concerns
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A survey of truck drivers passing through Wyoming found their top safety concerns to be winter weather, high wind speeds and other drivers.
The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, in conjunction with the Wyoming Department of Transportation and the Wyoming Trucking Association, conducted the safety survey from June 2017 through August 2017.
The Wyoming Tribune Eagle reports that topics included obtaining a commercial driver's license, experiences driving in Wyoming, communication methods, priority hazards and barriers to safety.
Drivers were asked to name the top three hazards that concern them during both summer and winter.
