3 killed, 3 wounded in Los Angeles shooting
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Gunfire killed three people and wounded three others at a house party early Thursday near downtown Los Angeles, police said.
Officers responding to a report of shots fired around 12:30 a.m. found the victims at a Westlake-area residence where 10 to 15 people had gathered, Detective Meghan Aguilar said.
The motive was not known but gang activity was a possibility, Aguilar said.
"There were words exchanged — I can't get into the details of those words right now — but there was some conversation between the people who were shot and the people who did the shooting," Lt. Ryan Rabbett said.
All the victims were only described as being in their 20s. There was no description of the shooter or shooters.
