Man arrested after fatal stabbing of woman in NYC store
NEW YORK (AP) — The New York Police Department says a man has been arrested on a murder charge after a woman was fatally stabbed while in a cellular phone store.
Police responding to an emergency call went to the Third Avenue store in Manhattan's East Harlem neighborhood around noon on Saturday.
They found a 51-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds to her chest. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. No identification had yet been released.
Authorities took a 62-year-old man into custody and later arrested him on the murder charge.
