Teenager leads police on chase in stolen car
NEWTOWN, Conn. (AP) — A Connecticut teenager has been detained for leading police on a chase in a stolen car.
The Connecticut Post reports the 18-year-old Angel Garcia of Danbury refused to pull over on Thursday morning and led police on a brief chase before crashing and fled on foot.
He was arrested several hours later and held on bond at the Newtown Police Department. Police have not said what he is charged with.
Another car was stolen as police chased Garcia. Police say they believe the car was stolen by his accomplices and more arrests should be expected. An attorney for Garcia could not be immediately identified.
