MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — The Manchester Veterans Affairs Medical Center has hired a new director of nursing to replace the one ousted over allegations of substandard treatment and conditions at New Hampshire's only veterans hospital. NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Lights will turn a Greek Revival building in New Orleans into a canvas for animations highlighting celebrations in New Orleans and Mexico. Digital sculptures and video-mapping projections on Lafayette Square and a nearby street also will be part of the city's fourth Light Up NOLA Arts Fete, or LUNA Fete for short. LONDON (AP) — Britain's cybersecurity agency has told government departments not to use antivirus software from Moscow-based firm Kaspersky Lab amid concerns about Russian snooping. (AP) — Maryland began the sale of medical marijuana to residents in pain on Friday, ending years of delays by embarking on a program that features some of the most liberal policies in the nation on who can qualify for the prescribed cannabis. Dozens of people stood outside a licensed dispensary, Potomac Holistics, where owners began making sales soon after receiving their first shipment Friday afternoon. NEW YORK (AP) — American Airlines has reached an agreement with its pilots' union to avoid canceling thousands of flights during the holiday season. A scheduling glitch had left thousands of flights without a captain, co-pilot or both between Dec. 17 and Dec. 31 at dozens of airports.
