Beyond that bit of wisdom, how do we figure this out? The News mentions today that the Sabres will not be commenting further on Norty's role. I think it's a mistake, because now we have this thread and there will be many different takes. If he's going to be an overarching president of both hockey and business operations, say it. If he's just the next Seymour, say it. I think we deserve to know if Scotty is now reporting to a hockey president.

Fast food workers who are miserable beyond belief while on the job. If you hate your job that much, do something about it to better yourself in life. Go back to school or do whatever is needed to find a better job. In the meantime, if you continue to stay in your current position, suck it up and put on a happy face. M

I got into new wave/alt music in college during the 80’s. I also just finished reading former KROQ DJ and current XM First Wave DJ Richard Blade’s Autobiography and he was at the fore front of discovering and promoting bands like Berlin, Talk Talk, Depeche Mode and INXS.

I’m thinking the best 250-300 songs of that era (1977-1987). Bands can have more then one song on the list. Nominations? Should I do this in poll form?

There was a funny dichotomy to his persona. On the ice he was this explosive spark plug capable of creating offense from anywhere. Off the ice he was this soft spoken easy going guy. I do often wonder what that team would have been if we even just kept him. Oh well, better days are ahead. 

Scandella and Risto are a given.

Guhle looks ready for an NHL role.

Nelson (UFA) and Antipin (RFA) are showing improvement and easily could be in the mix next season.

McCabe is a steady cheap D who was playing good hockey before he got hurt.

Bogo, aka Mr. Glass, is still under contract for 2 more years and Baloo, aka Mr Turnover, is also under contract for next season.  

Is that our 8 for next season? I still think it's missing a true game breaker, but that doesn't look terrible. Читать дальше...

No matter what happens and how upset it makes you, there are no possible outcomes that are legitimate evidence that the Draft Lottery is rigged. 

The only thing that can happen to constitute proof would be an impossibility - Toronto winning, as an example. Or the Denver Broncos. 

Okay, so this came up in the Complaint Thursdays thread this week and since a lot of you seem to know your alcohol, figured I'd ask this here. I'm primarily a vodka drinker; I enjoy the clean taste and versatility in mixing, but I'm a little bored with it. I also enjoy light rum in a mojito during warmer weather, but I'd like to try whiskey or scotch. Well, I think it's safe to declare the inauguration of this hopefully annual event a rousing success; everything from Eichel out-dueling Matthews to Modo coming all the way over from Sweden, that night had it all.
