Look at the stats on the superleague site and you will find out all you need to know about Russell, neither scores tries nor makes them, his kicking game is decent, buthe falls waaaay short of what is required of a superleague halfback. Whether Watson talks him up because he genuinely thinks he's good, or to get other teams interested in him so we can get shut i'm not sure. Would be nice to see Thewlis get some recognition, but I doubt they'd look beyond a Wigan player this year.

We've all had a reason to whinge over the past few years but now is not the time. Best season since 2015?

Interesting that centre seems to be the first deal to be potentially announced. In theory this should have been the one furthest away from completion as not planned for where as we have had all year to focus on halves and a prop. Suggests at least one is from Superleague and team still in the competition! Cannot see who is available in the halves in the NRL I think Frawley is as good as it gets.

I always believe that a team at the start of a season, any team not just ourselves, should aim to be at least one notch above what they realistically think they can achieve.
