What was interesting about last nights game was Jon Wells sitting in with Wigan at half time, no idea how much is withheld but was interesting none the less.

whilst i agree that we have won and will win many matches by not utilising our props as metre makers, i feel there are times and places (one being last night) that the tactics should change a little
i dont think anyone felt that last night was a game to play open / expansive rugby. It was a night for doing the basics well or even dead boring rugby. 5 drives from the forwards and a good kick and apply pressure to the opposition. If we start our 6 in a decent position, then look to play a little then. Читать дальше...
Sheffield Eagles’ Challenge Cup fixture away at Siddal, initially scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, has been postponed.
The aim is to play the match on Sunday, at Chevinedge, with a kickoff time of 2:30pm.
We will keep all supporters updated as correspondence continues between Siddal, the Eagles and the RFL.
For those that have booked on the coach from Extra Time Sports Bar and Olympic Legacy Park, Becky will be getting in contact with you to discuss the situation.
If supporters are unable to attend on Sunday... Читать дальше...

I'm hearing Radford to Gold Coast Titans on a two year deal as assistant coach specialising in defence.

Anyone think Morelos from Rangers would have done a job for us had we considered signing him in January?

It’s a real shame we’ve drawn Haven as it would have been instructive to see how we would have gone against a top of L1 side. My gut feeling is we would have won but would have been useful to have that confirmed by evidence. Another week goes by with the high spot being that one of the few players we signed, who feels like he might be a useful player, is now available to play....5 weeks in. Sigh!

Not Salford related but thought Manu Ma'u was excellent last night.
Just shows the difference playing under a good coach who also played him on the right just as he did for Paramatta.
Still wish we had kept him.
Championship club A gets a sugar Daddy, spends on decent players, finishes unbeaten at the top of the Championship, is promoted to SL, quickly buys up all the SL reject players at the back end of the year and........ gets relegated the next season. All to generate some ' jeopardy' and interest in a couple of games at the end of the season. It all seems very short sighted and wasteful of the few wealthy businessmen that are willing to fund and support our game. At least this system looks to ensure... Читать дальше...
Now then the Competition Results and Standings have been updated to reflect postings to the correct time and there's been some Winners and Losers as follows,
MorePlaymakersNeeded is in the Winners Enclosure having beaten The Speculator in Round 1 by a point. Sorry TS but you've 'lost' your bonus 10.
rubber duckie was not as late as we/i thought it was marginal especially the Salford game but late nonetheless and there is no change to his score
Sincere apologies to you all at least I've got to the bottom of it. Читать дальше...
I think Bill Arthur is the worst play-by-play commentator I've heard in any sport. Adds nothing, never knows what's going on. Pyke isn't much better.
As many have said many times, it feels like Sky gave up on RL years ago. Been drifting for a while.

Absolutely no sympathy for domestic abusers. No excuse, not bright etc don’t cut it. Needs considerable jail time, and will never be allowed to have anything to do with RL again. Yes, great player and still had decent career. But that’s it.

Looking at the weather today, I'd be suprised if we get the game on. Freezing temperatures all weekend which isn't going to shift the snow. It's warmer on Sunday but I'm doubtful it'll clear in time.

Pleased to see our old boy Manu Mau having such a good game and our other old boy Steve McNamara in charge of the team at the top of the table. Double nice when you give Wigan a lesson in how to play with passion.

UPDATE:
Fandom offers 5 points and 25% of the score. I am being UBER generous by awarding London Broncos 1 point here, but "purchased Facebook followers" and inflated game day attendances using unused free tickets won't fool IMG.
Performance again offers 5 points of the 25%. I being REALISTIC here by awarding London Broncos 1 point here, but again, being in the bottom third really doesn't cut the mustard.
Finance offers 5 points again and 25%. Given we are 100% reliant on Hughes, I have reluctantly scored us half a point... Читать дальше...

I like the look of the 17 tonight and as others have said it looks well balanced and probably the best it’s looked for a long time. Glad to see Brown back too as he adds something different along with some size.
Haha, Pearce & Whitley are misses for Catalan, can’t really comment on Mau for them as to whether he’s a miss or not. Certainly in with a good chance if we can keep the defence & discipline tight.
We really do need to up the output via social media.
