Overall a good run out understandably lots of changes, in both players and positions, defensively very good at times.

Naughton Park in an open end in the rain - something special in my warped mind. Remembered when Widnes had an all star team with JD, Myler brothers, Sorenson, Offiah, Devereux and and and.
And then there was the Dezzie incident. Like WW4!
Don't remember us winning too many matches there.
Also liked Knowsley Road and Central Park.
But Widerspool was always special when it was a sell out - you were so close to the pitch.

That would be hilarious.....the skolars passing The Broncos as they ascend to SL status while Hughes rambles on incoherently about whining ungrateful fans not turning up to watch "his" team....

As for the investment in skolars. It won't take much to get them to Championship standard [few hundred grand] but SL is millions and millions of quid for no return. It's not investing, it's just a really expensive hobby

As you know i am not a fan of Griffin as a centre but have to say i am looking forward to seeing him as an out and out second row.
I was probably the first to suggest we use Griffin as a second row much to the disdain of many on here.
Fresh start for him,looks fit and healthy and would certainly solve our weakness in the second row if he performs.
New era i hope it works out for him

First conclusion: it was bl**dy brassic out there. Nearly lost my toes.

Other than that, not sure either side can read much in to this one. Defence from both sides was cracking at times, and both showed some good touches with ball in hand. I thought we looked pretty good for a first friendly, but you could see we were knocking the rustiness off.

I was impressed with Charnley who looked stronger and fitter than last year. I didn't see much evidence of us petting set moves on, but don't know if that was intentional or not. Читать дальше...

It’s all relative but I assume sponsors would want their logo out there for as long as possible i.e. announced pre season and on show for any preseason friendlies - bear in mind the friendly takes place in the square mile so not a bad place to be on show. The shirts appear to my eye to have no sponsors logos on at all. Ditto the red training? Kits. I see Skolars have a couple of sponsors on their shirts including Anderson travel a long standing Broncos sponsor. Unless I’ve got this wrong, we either have no sponsors or have left it very...
