Thought I’d start off with the match day topic.

What are people’s predictions for the game score, line up etc and what do we want to see on or off the pitch?

My prediction is : Trinity 48 - Fax 14.

I would like to see Langi and Proctor debut and some players who missed out vs Leeds. Players such as Tanginoa, Hall, Taufua, Lineham.

Think it’s important players like Eseh, Windrow and Bowes get some minutes under their belts too as these friendlies will be invaluable to their continued development. Читать дальше...

Everyone relax. Announcement just made. Won’t be rushed into recruiting wrong type of players. Hope to recruit a few by the end of the month. Cant really argue with part of that it in my opinion were in a bit of strife if everyone doesn’t hit the ground running or we pick up a couple of knocks. Literally a couple.

Hi all,

I sit here nervously as I await delivery, already two days late, but assuming they arrive the Trinity Times will be on sale on Sunday to support Reece Lyne's Testimonial.

The test version of the Trinity Times will (hopefully) be on sale at the ground for the Reece Lyne Testimonial match this weekend.

There will only be 150 copies available as this is just a trial, however all the money goes to the Reece Lyne Testimonial Fund.

I wouldn't have Steve Georgiallis on there.

I remember people being annoyed when we signed him, as we already had the image of being the retirement home for ageing Aussies and it seemed like an underwhelming signing to make up for Campion changing his mind on us. But in the handful of games he played, he put in a good shift.

I also think Tyrone Roberts was so-so rather than being abysmal. He suffered from pre-season hype and that youtube montage which had us thinking we were getting a game breaking superstar. Читать дальше...

Two backs as Interchanges isn't great. Natoli could start as a forward I guess, but makes Centre a weak spot (again). Maybe the club will try hard to get Siti to stay.

I started watching just after the Brian Johnson, Phil Blake and Les Boyd era.

Saw some fine overseas players in the early 90s - Mercer, Mann, Kelly Shelford, but those players were surpassed by the ones who played in the Tony Smith era.

I thought Hunte was good for us. He was 29 when he joined but was still fast. I think he was a good athlete who retained his pace into his early 30s like Hicks.

He gave the impression of being a bit casual sometimes and it contributed to the general talented but disorganised air of that Van de Velde team. But when he got the ball he could do damage and he was popular with the fans. When he left we missed him.

Two things I’d like to see this coming season…

1.A big increase in the number of offloads we make when in possession. For the past few years it’s been a major development if a player gets the ball away in the tackle – so much so that often his teammates are completely oblivious and the ball goes loose. If support play improves then we might manage a few more offloads too – that will hopefully improve with the promised improvements in attitude and fitness.
