4 for me is perfect, with the range of skill and experience levels of the four taken into account. I think we may see Riddy shine with Sammut drawing defensive attention. To often Riddy has been simgled out as the threat and that wears a player down week after week. We can now spell him, and when he plays he will have better delivery to him and less defensive pressure on him. If anyone of the backs play loose it should be Reynolds for me but not as a first choice.

I find it interesting that you don't mention the fact that Cas and Saints fans vacated these forums yonks ago and now spend all their time on their own virtual echo chamber forums, maybe you should do the same, there are enough versions of you to keep it buzzing.

If he was English/non-quota fair enough....but where would he play for us.
Walker is starting FB and Gale/Lui are starting halves with Myler and McLelland as 2nd choice there. That’s both of Field’s normal positions taken care of. As I say your quota players have to be 1st choice starters, guaranteed picks in the 1st choice 17 every week.

There in lies the problem. For the past several seasons we've needed a half. Firstly to partner Williams, now to partner Hastings. Personally I would have taken a older seasoned 7 from around the league or the NRL. Not a marquee signing, but someone who knows the game like the back of his hand; can lead the team around the park and has a good kicking game.

Technically that is exactly the opposite of what I need to do going on past experiences ha.
Both players have been mentioned in this thread and are relatively easy to get. One back and one forward.

Jai Field looks absolutely rapid. Be good to have some genuine pace again.

Looks like the club is pretty confident in landing these two signings Agar is after leaving squad numbers 20 and 21 vacant I'm gonna guess
20- Kyle Amor or other British prop
21- Jai Field
Just guess a from who we've been linked with so far in off season although doubt Amor will be leaving Saints as he's been given a squad number for next season but do hope we bring in another prop with decent pedigree and a back who can cover Wing and fullback.

I'd persevere with Newman tbh. Last season was his baptism of fire, no point back tracking with his development now that he's gained experience the hard way.

Remember the deal that was voted through by the chairmen though. Any reduction in Sky monies hits the championship and lower leagues before any of the SL clubs are out of pocket

Chessie saying in this weeks Wakey Express that he would like 2 more players to complete our 2020 line-up, namely an outside back and a forward, but is waiting for the "right calibre" of player to become available.
Any (realistic) suggestions ??

Somewhat perversely despite it being by definition to me a successful season, at the end of the season I was disappointed. I guess that was due to the promise we showed for the season ahead with a fit Austin in full flow for the first... Читать дальше...

We are off to Reberty (Val Thorens) very soon with our daughter and family. I didn't learn to ski until my mid forties ( couldn't afford it) and the sheer drop of a blue run was enough to give me the shakes for the rest of the holiday. I envy kids that learned when they were 5-8 years old, I think that is by far the best age. Anyway, I am fine on blacks now although I don't like heights ( can't go up a ladder ) and hate that lift at Val D'isere where it goes up the ridge and then back down the other side. Читать дальше...
