Warrington Wolves • Blake Austin's Injury

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Good news for him but there are 3 half backs better than him, that should be selected ahead of him.

Not a lot of respect anywhere on this board mate, Mostly just a load of ever more bitter bile in an increasingly desperate attempt to get the last word in some pointless meaningless drivel.

A bit of both there.

My impression of Price is that he's an intelligent guy who is on top of modern coaching systems, he was involved in some very good set ups in the NRL and so compared to a lot of coaches in the UK he will have a better background. Probably the sort of guy who, if you were organising a seminar on global developments in RL coaching for upcoming coaches, you could get to deliver lectures and he would be really good. I can imagine how he will have come across well when he was interviewed for the role. Читать дальше...

I never seem to suffer with jet lag on the way there but the day after landjng back home is bad.

I dont think jet lag will be too much of an issue but if they are allowed large block fuxtures it will give them a huge advantage in my opinion. If they dont have to travel often and they are playing teams weekly who have travelled it has to be an advantage.

London Broncos • Alex Walker

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

As expected Alex Walker has signed for Wakefield Trinity on a two year deal. Sorry to see him go, but in truth I would have thought he could have done better. We shall have to see how it works out.
Anyhow I do thank him for his time at our club and wish him well in the future.

I have looked at flights to Toronto and it is doable but I have to get time off from work at short notice (I’d have 2 days turnaround to sort everything), earn some more brownie points form my good lady before I even think about the cost.

For me as with the SL grand final, the million pound promotion game should be in the UK at a neutral ground. Читать дальше...

This. If he wants to leave let him let him go now whilst there would be a chance to replace him with someone of marquee level. We have seen what happens when we dig in to keep a player that wants out in the past. Not saying this is the case but hopefully... Читать дальше...

Here we go with the Merrin rumours again, i said when all the rumours mid season where going, these rumours will persist untill he either runs out his contract or does go back to Aus early.

I’l just ignore any rumours and would suggest everyone does the same until there is actually any basis in reality.

He did alright when he played. I agree though going over there the other side of 30 and with a major injury was never going to be easy. See how he goes next year. He probably chose the wrong club imo with Morris and Tupou as the other wingers going to be a tough task getting game time.

As he is getting older and has lost some of his pace, I don’t think we can justify having a decent sum of the budget tied up on him

Has been a very good signing for us though and given us some good value previously

Warrington Wolves • Sad indictment

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

We won the Challenge Cup under Steve price with the current players and if we had those guys we would easily finish top of the league and probably win the Grand Final at a canter - the rest of SL would not be on the same level as us. There would also be a lot more exciting rugby just by definition of having those players in the side.

People said that TS played boring rugby too in his final few years, they didn't say that so much when we had Briers, Hodgson, Michael Monaghan, Solomona.

Hull FC - blackandwhites.co.uk • Re: NRL Finals Series (contains spoilers)

Rugby League Supporters Association Online

Crazy to think that if the Raiders win the Grand Final they'll be the sixth different winner in six seasons and the eighth in ten. Three other teams have made the GF but not won it in those ten years.

We on the other hand have only had four different Grand Final winners since 1998 and only three since 2006. You have to go back thirty years since a team other than Wigan, St Helens, Leeds or Bradford were Champions.
