However, cam he effectively do that alongside training and turning out with another club on match day.

Maybe the club have that in mind, and if so, then, why not have our younger halves, picking up good advice and education from who has been one of the best SL orgs using halves of the SL era, when on the top of his game

Just been on the VT. Now, it’s not the usual location for good ideas or rugby league wisdom I admit but there was a good point made on the topic of the attendance at the KCom. Would it be possible to set up a kiosk in the city centre during the week to sell tickets for the upcoming home game? I realise there are security and safety issues and the practicality of setting up credit card payment etc but it would be a great way of putting the club and the fixtures in the faces of the public.

So with the selection of Tomkins as scrumhalf, the question is does a scrumhalf need any specialist skills or are scrum half , stand off and fullbacks totally interchangeable?

Obviously most seasons don’t meet most fans’ highest expectations, and RL fans are not renowned for easy and effusive expressions of joy.

However, there does seem to be more despondency around SL than normal.

From east to west (roughly)...

Hull KR - we should be happy, after promotion and survival but it has been exhausting
Hull FC - on a come down after challenge cup victories, and a dreadful end to the season
Cas - lingering sense of an opportunity missed?

The advertising was nonexistent locally. The night before the match a bloke in my local asked me if there was a match and if he’d known he would’ve bought some tickets.

Also, tickets were not available to purchase locally, only through the RL website.

To expect people to know about a match that wasn’t advertised and to then make them hunt for tickets was never going attract a good crowd.

This is one of the strangest signings I can remember. Normally it would be heralded in order to boost ticket sales. However it may be kept secret for a while in order not to depress sales

My guess is that it is true and if so it one hell of a gamble by the person who decided to sign him. But if it pays off it could be a master stroke and take us to the next level.
However its a big IF !

I do very well on the rugby usually but Warrington flattered to achieve in the games that mattered so I took a hit.
The ride was better but we flopped...but in terms it wasn't the disappointment of 2016 even though the seasons parallel...
At the end of 2016 I just knew we were going to crash but at the end of this season you know we won't.

5000 at Leigh with dirt cheap tickets for England v France.

17000 at Hull for a test against New Zealand.

Both of these crowds are terrible. Neither Leigh or Hull should host an international again.
