Haven't seen the game but sounds like a fantastic effort by all particularly the younger squad members. Yet again shows having faith in playing younger squad members in their correct positions is likely to be a better option than a tired/not fully fit senior player.

Let's hope their upward progression gets a chance to flourish, we're still well short in the halfbacks and 3/4s (coming through) though which has been an ongoing problem for the club, we've always been very strong in the forwards dept. Читать дальше...

So Warrington offered Bateman a contract worth £14,000 a year in 1995, that would have been worth about £25,000 now.

Cronulla offered him the equivalent of £70,000 a year in Britsh pounds, which is more like £130,000 now. Then Warrington told him they'd match it.

Sounds like the club was taking the mickey out of him. What a shambolic way to treat a great Wire.

Ultimately it’ll come down to profit and loss as to its success. The benefits on the field will be minimal, especially so considering they didn’t get a hit out against a full strength NRL team. It could cost us when we get back also but hopefully us having a fully fit squad will help keep players on their toes.

In regards to today’s game solely, I’d say only really Navarette and Mullen will come out with reputations enhanced. I don’t think many NRL clubs will be falling over themselves to tempt the likes of Gildart... Читать дальше...
