I think it's more a case of a short term special bets. Nobody is going to be professional gambling on these type of bets.
However the bookies are happy to have loss leaders to reel in a perspective new customer...like online gamers are happy to offer free bets like £30 etc.

Escare was good and much better then expected but I wouldn’t go overboard. You have to judge both players at fullback on actual performance and not expectation. I want Sam in the halves as much as the next man but he’s still a better fullback then Escare, it’s just the team would probably be better with them both in for my money.
To say Sam Tomkins wasn’t effective in his games at fullback last year is again judging on expectation. The bloke got 5 try’s and 7 assists in 12 games so he got a try/assist per game. Читать дальше...
Imagine 4 years ago if someone had said we’d have a Man of Steel as Captain with two international captains and a back to back Lance Todd trophy winner being pipped to the VC appointment.
Great choices IMO from a host of good options.

WQ reading the report, that’s exactly what it points to, it mentions the parachute payment and central funding agreement.
It’s good to see the lower league clubs standing up and wanting their voice heard. SL is not the be all and end all of the sport, without the lower leagues and the amateur game, and even down to schools the game cannot survive.

Butterworth was very impressive very quick out of dummy half he knew when to run it in and when to pass looked superb... Kirk was good when he could keep hold of the ball and funnily enough Davies didn’t drop a single ball!

Total RL are reporting that the Championship Clubs lead by Sheffields Chris Noble, have put pressure on the RFL who have granted an EGM.
On the Agenda is Leighs parachute payment, Toulouse exemption from the Challenge Cup and the Toronto/Toulouse game at the Magic Weekend.
It will be interesting to see where all this leads.

I don’t think assistants come under scrutiny very often at all, whether they happen to be good or bad at their job.
I think the reason we saw criticism of Agar last year was that it was very difficult to point the finger at Smith due to the period of success he brought, but ultimately the boss takes responsibility for results. After all, Agar was his choice as second-in-command.

I'm a big advocate of a reserve grade because I believe we need to keep those fringe players in the club to learn the club's way of doing things and playing like the first team. It's also invaluable for those players just returning from injury as it gives them a platform to gain fitness within the club environment. There's no coincidence that the vast majority of the upper part of the league in 2016 ran a reserve grade. Last year games were getting cancelled left right and centre which is why it was pointless. Warrington, Saints and Cas to fight it out for the GF. Leeds once their half backs are settled will do well, (could challenge the dullers for the CC)
Wigan and Wakey are difficult to predicted and could be down to avoiding injuries with little quality in depth.
Huddersfield, Rovers and Widnes will be contesting the bottom 4 (bookies don't very often get it wrong) along with Catalan, Macbanana won't see out the season and by the time they've replaced him it will be to late. Читать дальше...

Don't agree with this. Escaré may be faster, but just because he's faster doesn't mean he offers more. Tomkins may have lost some pace due to his injury
This report says we are the heaviest backed team,as we are not favourites for anything I’m guessing the money is spread out over different bets.
