Pashinyan: Our goals are ambitious and realistic
“Our goals reflected in 2022 budget and plan of actions are ambitious and realistic. We realize that to bring them to life we need not only economic interferences by the government but social and cultural transformations. First of all, we attach importance to the increase of efficiency of the state governance system and the transformation and development of working culture,” the head of the government said at the discussion of the 2022 state draft budget.
He noted that the 2022 budget is based on three key priorities – reform in security system, development of infrastructures and modernization of knowledge.
“We will focus on ensuring security without which it will be impossible to carry out the lasting development goals. In this sense, it is important not only to ensure the modernization of the army’s defense capacities but the formation of favorable foreign environment, consistent implementation of the agenda of opening peaceful development era for Armenia, Artsakh and the region. The reopening and development of economic and transport infrastructures of the region are also important, it may qualitatively change the content and structure of Armenia’s economy, to jumpstart the development of infrastructures inside Armenia,” Pashinyan said.
He said the development of the education, science and technology sector is logical continuation of the processes and here is where the government is already investing new funding formulas.
