Allstate Corp. disclosed Thursday that it has raised auto insurance rates by 14% across 15 locations in October, as it responds to "inflationary increases to loss costs." The insurer said the rate increases for Allstate-brand auto insurance since the beginning of the year have resulted in a premium impact of 12.1%. Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. said Thursday it is promoting its Chief Technology Officer Scott Lindblom to the role of chief technology and digital officer with immediate effect. Lindblom will take responsibility for managing the retailer's digital channel and will report directly to CEO Sue Gove. Capital raising by cannabis companies is down 64% to $4 billion to date in 2022 as compared with 2021, Viridian Capital Advisors reported Wednesday. Total equity issuance has fallen 74.4% to about $1 billion, with total debt issuance down 48.2% to about $2 billion. Public companies have accounted for 74.5% of total financing in 2022, down from 79.8% in 2021. The AdvisorShares Pure U.S. Cannabis ETF is down 52% in 2022, and the ETFMG Alternative Harvest ETF has fallen 47.7%.

The Children's Place Inc. stock tumbled 10% in premarket trade Thursday, after the clothing retailer missed profit estimates for the third quarter and offered guidance that also lagged estimates. Macy's shares jump after retailer lifts earnings guidance

Macy's Inc. stock soared 7% in premarket trade Thursday, after the department store chain beat consensus estimates for the third quarter and raised its full-year profit guidance. The operator of Macy's, Bloomingdales and Bluemercury stores posted net income of $108 million, or 39 cents a share, for the quarter, down from $239 million or 76 cents a share, in the year-earlier period. Fisker Inc. shares rose 3% in premarket trades on Thursday after the EV maker said it officially started production of the Fisker Ocean all-electric sport utility vehicle in Graz, Austria. Fisker said it expects to see more than 300 units manufactured in the first quarter, 8,000 units in the second quarter, and 15,000-plus units in the third quarter.
