Over 64,000 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables exported from Armenia
Armenia has already exported 64,800 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables this year against the 38,550 tons it exported at the same period a year before, the press office of the Armenian agriculture ministry reported on Monday.
In particular, the country exported 8,500 tons of grapes this year against 5,390 tons a year earlier, 690 tons of apples against 14,000 tons a year before and 1,420 tons of pears against 660 tons.
Some 9,400 tons of cabbage and cauliflower have been exported this year until now against the 1,820 tons exported over the same period a year earlier, 2,972 tons of radish and beets against 664 tons, 1,170 tons of tomatoes against 191 tons, 3,460 tons of cucumbers against 179 tons and 1,350 tons greens against 800 tons.
Armenia exports its fresh fruits and vegetables mostly to Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Czech Republic. This year 84% of the exported fresh fruits and vegetables went to Russia against 34% in 2014. ---0----
