Tottenham's Christian Eriksen on target as Denmark secure 1-1 friendly draw with Germany
Tottenham's Christian Eriksen scored a fine goal as Denmark drew 1-1 with Germany on Tuesday night.
Eriksen opened the scoring in Brondby in the 18th minute after Anthony Rudiger made a mess of a backpass - with the Roma defender heading the ball straight into the path of the Spurs midfielder instead of clearing it.
Eriksen, who found himself with space, ran onto the loose ball on the edge of the box and drove it first time past Kevin Trapp to hand Denmark the lead in front of the hosts' jubilant fans.
Germany failed to trouble Denmark thereafter but they eventually found the equaliser - and in stunning fashion - three minutes from time.
Joshua Kimmich was the hero for the visitors after he delivered a stunning overhead kick in the dying stages of the match, which hurtled past Denmark goalkeeper Frederik Ronnow and into the back of the net to secure a late 1-1 draw for Joachim Low's men.
Germany now take on San Marino at home in their Group C World Cup qualifier on Saturday while Denmark play Kazakhstan away in their World Cup qualifying match the same night.
