Kazakhstan volleyball team reaches Asian Games playoffs after comeback win

Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan’s women’s volleyball team defeated the Philippines in their opening match at the Asian Games and secured a place in the quarterfinals.
Kazakh volleyball players lost the first set 27:29, but then managed to turn the match around and finish it in four sets.
Final score: 27:29, 26:24, 25:23, 25:19 in favor of Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan is in the same group at the Asian Games as China and the Philippines. Under the tournament regulations, two teams from each group advance to the playoffs. China defeated the Philippines 3:0 in their head-to-head match, so Kazakhstan has already secured a spot in the Asian Games quarterfinals.
The match against China for first place in the group will take place on September 18.

As a reminder, the official opening of the Asian Games will take place on September 19. This year, the Asiad is being hosted by Japan.
