Magic Johnson is super excited about the 'almost unbeatable' Lakers lineup
Almost!
You may remember that Magic Johnson abruptly quit his job as Lakers president so he could tweet whatever he wanted and voice his displeasure with general manager Rob Pelinka on various ESPN programming.
What a time that was.
Of course, this happened just months before the Lakers faced their most important offseason in years. But according to Magic, the Lakers have put together an “almost unbeatable” roster … almost.
Despite missing out on Kawhi Leonard, Magic appears to see the additions of Anthony Davis, Avery Bradley and Danny Green as enough to put the Lakers into superteam status. Yes, he left out DeMarcus Cousins — poor Boogie. This was what he tweeted on Monday.
He’s dreaming about that fourth quarter, Laker Nation!
But really, the word “almost” is doing a hilarious amount of the heavy lifting for this tweet. After all, being “almost unbeatable” is basically a nice way of saying, “Good, but beatable.”
The moment the Lakers lose, you can guarantee fans bringing up this tweet.
Let’s hope Magic keeps this analysis coming because it’s too good.
