The Masters is the most prestigious golf tournament in the world, and most golfers yearn for an invitation, and with 87 golfers, this year's field will be the smallest in 21 years.

As it turns out, there are 19 different ways in which a golfer can come to receive an invitation. Many players qualify under multiple criteria, including Jordan Spieth, who qualifies under seven of the categories.

Last month, I wrote about how batters enjoy a platoon advantage far less frequently now than they did in the past. Specifically, I found that in 1990, batters had a platoon advantage in 61 percent of plate appearances. Last year, it was 52 percent. I blamed this on growing pitching staffs. TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Board of Regents has approved 2018-19 tuition rates and fees for the state's three public universities. At their meeting Thursday in Tucson, the regents announced that resident undergraduate students at Arizona State University will see no tuition increase in the next school year. Facebook began speaking with hospitals last year about the possibility of matching anonymized user profiles with health data in an effort to improve medical care, according to a CNBC report exposing the program. Facebook confirmed its work to CNBC but said it had hit “pause” on the program last month — presumably following the Cambridge Analytica scandal — to focus on “doing a better job of protecting people’s data” and being clearer about how it’s used.
