Saunders vs Coceres tale of the tape
THIS is arguably the biggest fight night of Saunders’ career.
After making his 2019 bow back in May in Stevenage, ‘Superb’ now features on the undercard of what could prove to be one of the most watched fights in history.
Age is on the side of the challenger Coceres, who at 28 has two years on his 30-year-old rival.
But if we’re looking at miles on the clock, it’s actually Saunders who is the fresher of the pair – he has 28 pro fights, with the Santa Fe star having 29.
Both are unbeaten, with the only blot of Coceres’ copybook a 2012 draw against Cesar Hernan Reynoso.
That was only his second pro fight though and in the seven years since the Argentine hasn’t been stopped by anyone, recording an impressive 15 KO victories.
Known as ‘El Terrible’, Coceres stands at 5ft9 which is two inches shorter than his opponent.
Neither of the fighters will feel particularly at home, with both heading into an American boxing ring for the very first time.
Saunder vs Coceres go head-to-head on November 9 – the fight begins at 2am GMT in the early hours of Sunday morning in the UK.
