Eau Claire Regis beats Darlington 27-14 for WIAA D6 title
MADISON, Wis. — Eau Claire Regis coach Bryant Brenner joked that slowing down Darlington’s potent offense was “like trying to climb Mount Everest.”
Mission accomplished on Thursday for the Ramblers.
Regis forced five turnovers and held Darlington to 249 total yards in a 27-14 victory to win the WIAA Division 6 championship.
“There’s a saying that says those who stay will become champions,” Brenner said. “I’m really proud of this group of kids and the kids that have stayed.
