Piers Morgan Eviscerated for Saying ‘There Is No Muslim Ban’ (Video)
Staunch Donald Trump supporter Piers Morgan drew the wrath of Bill Maher’s roundtable during a new episode of “Real Time With Bill Maher” Friday night, and has continued to take a beating well into the next day.
Morgan, who has been vocal about his support for his former “The Apprentice” boss on Twitter, drew ire from comedian Jim Jefferies in particular for continuing to defend Trump’s travel ban, saying, “There is no Muslim ban,” and citing that 85 percent of the world’s Muslim citizens are not affected by the executive order.
Piers Morgan Says Trump's Travel Ban Is 'Making America Hate'
Morgan maintained Jefferies and like-minded concerned citizens were just being “hysterical” but, unfortunately, other high-profile stars disagreed.
“Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling, who has drawn many parallels between the novels’ storylines and America’s current political climate, was especially glad to see Morgan being taken down.
When Morgan responded with the sick burn that he had never read a “Harry Potter” book, Rowling retorted, “If only you’d read Harry Potter, you’d know the downside of sucking up to the biggest bully in school is getting burned alive.”
