LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The University of Nebraska-Lincoln has released details of its plan to demolish a matching pair of high-rise dormitories that have housed thousands of students since 1963. The Lincoln Journal Star reports that the 13-story Cather and Pound dormitories will be imploded on Friday. Preparations for the demolition began in May when the university began removing windows, heavy furniture and mechanical parts from the dorms. JOHANNESBURG (AP) — The United Nations humanitarian agency says six aid workers who went missing after clashes broke out in South Sudan days ago have returned safely. The U.N. statement on Wednesday says the workers are with two international groups, HealthNet and Solidarity International, and one local aid group. Solidarity International's country director, Mainul Islam Opu from Bangladesh, is the only foreigner among them. The rest are South Sudanese nationals. CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — SpaceX has unveiled its new Falcon Heavy rocket a month before its first launch. Photos released Wednesday by SpaceX chief executive Elon Musk show the new rocket inside its Florida hangar. Missing is the cargo for the January test flight. Musk has said the Falcon Heavy will launch his own cherry-red Tesla Roadster into space. First, though, SpaceX will test-fire all 27 of the rocket's engines at the pad. That's three times more engines than the company's Falcon 9, used to hoist satellites and space station supplies.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — North Little Rock's electric utility says a worker died Wednesday morning while responding to a call of a wire in the roadway. North Little Rock Electric says 53-year-old Doug Thurmond's injuries were consistent with an electric shock. The utility says Thurmond was a journeyman lineman who'd worked 17 years for the department. SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say a Louisiana company has pleaded guilty to transporting and dumping hazardous waste in a neighborhood in Savannah, Georgia. Federal prosecutors in Georgia said Wednesday that New Orleans-based Boasso America Inc., which has a facility near Savannah, was sentenced to five years of probation. Fox News has settled a sexual harassment lawsuit brought by contributor Julie Roginsky, TheWrap has confirmed. Roginsky says former network chief Roger Ailes kept her from a position on “The Five” after she refused to engage in a sexual relationship with him. Ailes “unlawfully harassed, discriminated against, and retaliated against Roginsky and sabotaged her career,” the suit reads.
