Puerto Rico governor orders review of hurricane death toll

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — Puerto Rico’s governor on Monday ordered authorities to review all deaths reported since Hurricane Maria hit nearly three months ago amid accusations that the U.S. territory has vastly undercounted storm-related deaths. African migrants reach France

PARIS — The first group of African refugees benefiting from a new initiative bringing those deemed to be especially vulnerable directly to Europe arrived in France on Monday. The 19 Sudanese, including 11 children, were selected from a camp in Chad, where hundreds of thousands escaping war have taken refuge. Trump doctrine: Economic security is national security

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump declared a new national security strategy on Monday, echoing the message of his 2016 campaign as he declared "America is in the game and America is going to win." In a speech at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, Trump faulted previous U.S. leaders for failing to look out for the nation's citizens. He promised to seek openings to cooperate with rivals, but added that "we will stand up for ourselves and we will stand up for our country like we have never stood up before.



Death toll rises to 6 in French train-bus crash

PARIS (AP) — French authorities say the death toll from an accident between a train and a school bus last week has increased following the death of a sixth person. The local prefecture in the Pyrenees-Orientales region didn't specify whether the latest victim was a student on the school bus. The five others were children, ages 11 to 13. An affidavit by a Wasilla Police officer says Sarah Palin told police Saturday night that Track Palin was "freaking out" and on some type of medication. Report: Police responding to Pulse nightclub performed well

EPA orders 6 companies to clean up East Chicago soil, dust
