BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) — Bowling Green has hired former Florida Atlantic coach Carl Pelini to be defensive coordinator. Pelini resigned from FAU after the 2013 season. He spent the last three seasons as defensive coordinator at Youngstown State of the FCS for his brother, coach Bo Pelini. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The Latest on San Francisco officer who committed suicide (all times local): 6:30 p.m. A San Francisco police officer who killed himself was under investigation for child sexual abuse. Forty-nine-year-old Antonio Cacatian shot himself Monday after he was pulled over by a police officer in the Bay Area city of Richmond, where he lived. AURORA, Colo. (AP) — Police say a 19-year-old man is accused of stabbing his stepfather to death before taking cell phone video of the aftermath. The Aurora Sentinel reports that Nickolas Khalil Vinson faces a first-degree murder charge in connection to the death of his 50-year-old stepfather Oscar Lemar Owensby. Vinson was arrested Dec. 14 shortly after police went to the Aurora house where Owensby was stabbed.
