Solo show travels to the dark side of Moon
When local drummer, comedian and solo performer Mick Berry first mounted Keith Moon:
The Real Me, in 2013, the first thing audiences entering the Eureka Theatre likely noticed was the drum kit.
[...] if anyone could possibly require so many individual percussion instruments, it’d be a conjurer of the Who’s notorious drummer, whose anarchically inventive rhythms mirrored his self-destructive partying.
In a reworked version that runs for a month at Marin Theatre Company, Berry goes deeper into Moon’s dark side, but the drums will still be front and center.
