Obama will visit rural Alaska communities in trip focusing on climate change
President Obama is headed to Alaska next Monday, to speak at a State Department conference in Anchorage and then stay to spend the first two days of September visiting the rural towns of Dillingham on Bristol Bay and Kotzebue near the Chukchi Sea. The president will also stop in the Seward area “where he will have the opportunity to view the effects of climate change firsthand,” according to White House spokesperson Hallie Ruvin.
