KEEPING SCORE: Tokyo's Nikkei 225 index lost 0.1 percent to 21,995.15 and the Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.7 percent to 3,392.03. Hong Kong's Hang Seng was flat at 28,448.81. SEATTLE (AP) — It's not often Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas spew compliments of an opponent, especially a rookie. Watching the Seattle Seahawks defense get torn apart by rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans on Sunday had Sherman, Thomas and their teammates issuing praise rarely heard from one of the top defenses in the league. SEATTLE (AP) — All but 10 members of the Houston Texans took a knee during the national anthem Sunday, as the vast majority of the team protested the owner's "inmates running the prison" comment. The Texans had indicated there would be some type of protest following the comments by owner Bob McNair. It came prior to the Texans' wild 41-38 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. BOSTON (AP) — Officials say an international United Airlines flight was diverted due to reports of smoke and has landed safely in Boston. The Massachusetts Port Authority says no injuries were reported after the plane landed without incident at Logan International Airport on Sunday afternoon. United Airlines spokesman Charlie Hobart says the aircraft was heading to Washington Dulles International Airport from Munich. LONDON (AP) — Heathrow Airport has launched an investigation after a memory stick containing confidential security information was found on a London street. The Sunday Mirror says a member of the public found the USB drive and turned it over to the newspaper. The device contained 76 folders, including information about the security measures used to protect Queen Elizabeth II when she uses the airport and how to access restricted areas.
