The best thing that could happen is for the RU case by former players to be held and a firm result comes out one way or another. Fundamentally neither RL or RU can exist if players aren't willing to take risks.

I just don't understand what grounds someone from the 80s or 90s would have for claiming the sport didn't do enough. The Junior game has also been rocked by the news that starting at under 6's next season and eventually up to under 9's games will be touch rugby only and no tackling at all, kids will then at age 10 have to tackle having never done so before.

the Latics fans have very short memories, in fact i bet most werent even fans when the East stand was always for away supporters (prior to the promotion to the PL)

The old guard running the club knew that most clubs in the championship bring good followings and would almost fill the East, so financially it makes sense to have an extra 2k away supporters in that not

I appreciate the players welfare, but just get them to sign a waiver, plenty more sports and jobs that are far more dangerous than RL.
