You just can't judge the best RL player of the year on such a small sample size, it's ridiculous. If we had an international calendar even close to RU then yes, brilliant. I just can't believe that supposed RL journos etc thought this was a better way than before; it seems like change for change sake when they did it last year, or trying to differentiate it more from the Daly M.

Good for bringing in high profile players and game awareness.
But where do young talent go becase if SBW played on one leg he would certainly keep out a young Canadian from getting into the team.
Why wasn't it put in there application for joining the rugby league that by year 3, 5, 7 etc there had to be x,y,z Canadians in the team.

The worst winger at the club right now is Joe Burgess. His main attribute that made him so dangerous was his speed and that has totally gone. His only other plus points is that hes not bad in the air under the high ball but even then, he is hardly safe as houses. The rest of his game is rank average to poor and his body looks shot.

Do folk think the SBW Toronto effect will actually work to raise the profile of the game to a higher level or will it just end up with spiralling costs of clubs trying to outdo each other AKA leeds and talk about Ford.

Not got a problem with an Australian born of tongan parents or grandparent playing for tonga, what I dont like is the chopping and changing, if you play for one nation then that's who you play for, you dont chop and change as it suits.
Ideally it should be you can only play for the country you were born in, but reality with that is RL would have a very very small international footprint.
