The loss of net neutrality: Say goodbye to a free and open internet

The U.S. Senate voted 52-47 to reinstate the net neutrality rules. Republican Senators Susan Collins (Maine), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and John Kennedy (La.) broke party lines and voted with all Senate Democrats to overturn the FCC’s decision to repeal the 2015 Obama-era rules.
The measure now moves to the House of Representatives, where it faces a significant battle. Republicans hold a 236-193 majority in the House. If it receives a simple majority there, it then moves to the President for his signature. Читать дальше...
