Can anyone tell me why the Taos Box is currently running over 800? Any projections on how long this will last?

Looking for a dry box for my hyside max and am having trouble finding boxes small enough. Anyone know a manufacturer who makes sub 30” dry boxes out of aluminum? I’ve seen the plastic ones but am having trouble trusting them

I think I'm down to a 4x4 Tacoma or F150. Thoughts?

6' bed is max on Taco, and thinking 8' bed on F150 would be nice. I hate the small 5' beds on other trucks. I'd like to be able to make trailheads like Selway in off-season.

I bought a 2026 Sierra 6.5' bed 4x4 and want to find a weight bearing topper so I can load my raft frame, oars, etc. there.

I have no interest in roof tents and fanciness like molle, etc. Just a plain hard shell/fiberglass topper with a built in rack that preferably integrates with a roof rack on the truck cab itself.

What boats are good for what? Hoe do I know what kind of boat I should buy. I’m a rafter looking to get into a hard boat and know nothing.

Anybody out there have an aluminum drybox in their hyside max? Trying to decide what size to get 26" or 28" wide and hoping to hear from others who have the setup. Would also love to hear about specific manufacturers if you have an opinion. Thanks

Ran Westwater today. I stop by the upstream shitters and the big garbage roll off and get my boat ready to launch. Decide I need to take a dump. Open the West door and there’s no toilet paper go in the East door and there’s a bit of toilet paper but some disgusting soul had missed the hole and shit on the outside of the tube I hope you read the Buzz and confess. The other two toilets closer to the ramp are also a mess.
No Ranger on duty for 2 days.

Looking to rally a trip down south in August. How does the permitting system work for these sections of river, and how many days could I link the RUBY down to and continue onto the Westwater run?

I looked at the ruby permit system it seems different like you can book camp spots but none of these are lottery permits. So anyone can launch at any time?
Is August a good time for these runs, will there be enough water. ?
