Lavrov stressed to Mirzoyan the need of "prompt” launch of delimitation works
“The heads of the foreign affairs agencies discussed topical issues of the bilateral, regional and international agenda. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the Sochi agreements of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia of November 26, 2021. The Russian side emphasized the need to ensure the prompt start of work on the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border with its subsequent demarcation,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Sergey Lavrov “also pointed out the need to bring the agreements within the framework of the trilateral working group on unblocking transport and economic ties co-chaired by the vice-premiers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia to practical implementation.”
Statement of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Mirzoyan-Lavrov phone conversation says:
“The ministers discussed a wide range of issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The importance of the full restoration of the peace process in accordance with the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs for a long-term and comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was emphasized.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Sergey Lavrov also discussed the process of implementation of commitments assumed by the parties within the framework of trilateral statements of November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021”
Ararat Mirzoyan stressed that the military rhetoric of the Azerbaijani leadership and threats of using force seriously undermine the regional stability and security.
The ministers also discussed issues on the 3+3 format.
