A ceasefire from hacking government websites until a new president is elected was declared yesterday by members of Anonymous Philippines, a group of hackers who had claimed responsibility for defacing the website of the Commission on Elections (Comelec). Around 30 members of the group trooped to the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Padre Faura Street in Manila yesterday and demanded that the government hire the arrested hackers instead.
