Bank of America resumed coverage on Credit Suisse with a buy rating now that the Swiss bank successfully raised 4 billion Swiss francs. The broker pointed out that it now has the same market cap as Julius Baer but is 1.5 times larger in wealth management, while also having a leading domestic bank and asset management business. Its new price target is 3.60 francs, or $3.83 per ADR, down from a pre-rights offering price of 4.20 francs.

U.S. stock indexes opened lower on Friday after wholesale prices rose more than expected in November, dampening hopes that inflation might be cooling off. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 85 points, or 0.2%, to 33,717. The S&P 500 shed 0.2%, while the Nasdaq Composite declined by 0.3%. Three major indexes are on pace to book a week of sizable losses with the S&P 500 approaching a weekly loss of 3.1%. Gilead Sciences Inc. said Friday that it will co-develop and co-commercialize Arcellx Inc.'s multiple myeloma treatment candidate, which is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials. Gilead will pay Arcellx $225 million upfront, plus make a $100 million equity investment in the company. The deal, which will reduce Gilead's GAAP and non-GAAP earnings per share next year by 16 cents, is expected to close in the first quarter. U.S. stock futures tumbled on Friday, erasing earlier gains, after the latest batch of inflation data showed producer prices accelerated faster than some economists expected last month. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA were off 158 points, or 0.5%, at 33,885 after the data, erasing an earlier gain. Ryman Hospitality Properties said Friday it's increasing its fourth-quarter dividend to 25 cents a share, from 10 cents a share in the third quarter. Shareholders of record as of Dec. 30 will be paid the dividend on Jan. 17. Shares of Ryman Hospitality Properties are down 3.4% in 2022 compared to a 29.2% drop by the Nasdaq .

Swedish telecommunication equipment maker Ericsson said it's reached a global cross-license for patented cellular standard-essential technologies with Apple that ends all ongoing patent-related legal disputes between the parties. Including effects of the agreement with Apple covering sales from January 15, 2022, and including ongoing IPR business with all other licensees, Ericsson estimates the fourth quarter 2022 IPR licensing revenues will be 5.5 billion ($530 million) to 6 billion Swedish kronor. U.S. annual wholesale-level core inflation rate cooled to 4.9% in November: PPI

U.S.-listed shares of China Jo-Jo Drugstores Inc. were up about 21% in premarket trading on Friday. The company, which is based in Hangzhou, China, operates drugstores and an online pharmacy in China.
