Shares of Robinhood Markets Inc. jumped more than 23% Tuesday morning after the company said it would extend the hours that its customers could trade and was working toward 24/7 trading. Robinhood will now lets its users trade and get orders filled between 7 a.m. ET and 8 p.m. ET. The company previously allowed for orders to be filled as early as 9 a.m. ET and as late as 6 p.m. ET.

Shares of GameStop Corp. slumped 3.9% in volatile trading Tuesday morning, putting them on track to snap a record-matching 10-day winning streak. The videogame and consumer electronic retailer's "meme" stock was briefly halted for volatility starting at 9:37 a.m. Eastern, as it shot up as much as 5.2% minutes after the open before pulling a sharp U-turn into negative territory. MetLife Inc. said Tuesday its MetLife Investment Management (MIM) unit originated an agricultural mortgage loan record of $6 billion in 2021. The figure from the institutional asset management unit of MetLife exceeded the previous record by 20% and boosted MIM's year end total agricultural mortgage loan assets under management to a record high of $22.9 billion. Mnuchin, said Tuesday it agreed to pay $525 million for Zimperium, a cyber security specialist for mobile devices. Led by CEO Shridhar Mittal and based in Dallas, Zimperium has been backed by Warburg Pincus, Sierra Ventures, SoftBank, Telstra Ventures and Samsung. Nikola Corp. announced Tuesday a financing agreement with Mitsubishi HC Capital Group's ENGS Commercial Finance Co. which will facilitate sales of Nikola's Tre battery-electric and hydrogen fuel-cell electric vehicles. IPO deal flow in first quarter in U.S. was slowest in six years

Shares of Nielsen Holdings PLC soared 20.9% in premarket trading Tuesday, after the audience measurement company confirmed a deal to be acquired by a private equity consortium in a cash deal valued at about $16 billion, including debt. The U.S. initial public offering market had its slowest first quarter in six years, according to Renaissance Capital, with just 18 deals raising $2.1 billion.
