Columbia Care Inc. said Thursday its fourth-quarter net loss widened to $53.3 million, or 14 cents a share, from a loss of $43.3 million, or 16 cents a share in the year-ago quarter. The cannabis company's revenue increased to $139.3 million from $76.1 million. Analysts expected Columbia Care to lose five cents a share on revenue of $138.3 million, according to FactSet data. Shares of Moderna Inc. gained 0.4% in premarket trading on Thursday after the company said it's now signed $21 billion in advance purchase agreements for 2022 for its COVID-19 vaccine. That's up from $19 billion in signed agreements at the end of February. Olive Garden parent Darden Restaurants misses earnings expectations
Darden Restaurants Inc. shares fell 1.7% in Thursday premarket trading after it reported fiscal third-quarter profit and sales that missed expectations. The Olive Garden parent posted net income of $247.0 million, or $1.93 per share, up from $128.7 million, or 98 cents per share. Sales totaled $2.449 billion, up from $1.733 billion last year. Shares of Alaska Air Group Inc. rose 1.4% in premarket trading Thursday, after the air carrier detailed its 2022 outlook for capacity and capital expenditures ahead of its investor day. The company said its 2022 outlook, as detailed in its fourth-quarter results reported in late-January, includes expectations for capacity to rise 1% to 3% from pre-pandemic 2019 levels and for capex of $1.6 billion to $1.7 billion. Russia's invasion of neighboring Ukraine has brought COVID-19 vaccination to a halt, the World Health Organization said Thursday, raising concerns that the illness will continue to spread.
