Sarepta Therapeutics Inc. shares fell nearly 5% late Thursday after the biopharma company reported a wider-than-expected adjusted first-quarter loss and sales also missed targets. Sarepta said it lost $35.4 million, or 55 cents a share, in the quarter, versus earnings of $84.1 million, or $1.50 a share, in the year-ago period. Arista Networks Inc. shares dropped in the extended session Thursday despite quarterly results topping Wall Street estimates and a revenue forecast that was mostly higher than the analyst consensus. Arista shares fell 8.8% after hours, following a 0.9% rise to close at $267.85. Shares of Fluor Corp. stumbled 10% late Thursday after the engineering and construction company reported a surprise first-quarter loss and lowered its profit expectations for the year. Fluor said it lost $18 million, or 13 cents a share, versus earnings of $61 million, or 43 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Stamps.com Inc. shares rose toward record highs in late trading Thursday after reporting better profit and sales than expected. The online retailer reported first-quarter net income of $33.1 million, or $2.54 a share, with the same per-share figure after adjustments, which is up from $1.83 a year ago. GoPro Inc. shares rocketed higher in after-hours trading Thursday afternoon, after the company found some success with a new low-cost action camera and beat expectations.
