A man has been arrested after a schoolgirl was abducted and molested. Police arrested the man on suspicion of rape at around 8pm following a call from a member of the public. He is now in police custody following the incident in Merton, South London. Officers from the South West Command Unit had been conducting inquiries today to locate the man after an allegation of rape was received shortly after 7am in the North Place area.

A woman performed the Heimlich manoeuver on a high school student who was choking on food in a restaurant in eastern China. The video, filmed in the city of Liaocheng in Shandong Province on October 23, shows a teenage boy being choked by the food and becoming short of breath. A woman placed her arms around the boy's waist and bent him forward so she could do the abdominal thrusts. After around 76 seconds, the boy coughed up the food.
