Newly released body camera footage shows the moments when officers arrived at the Walmart Distribution Center near Red Bluff. The shooting on June 27 left the suspect Louis Lane and Martin Haro-Lozano of Orland, an employee of the Distribution Center. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said Monday morning that a 70-year-old man, who was rushed to the hospital following a deputy-involved shooting on Sunday in Mesa, has died as a result of his injuries. The shooting happened around 6 p.m. Sunday near 56th Street and Dodge Street in Mesa. The suspect shot by at least one deputy was identified as Rodney Liveringhouse. It's said cats have nine lives, but two dogs are lucky to be alive thanks to a Caledonia Police Department K-9 officer who pulled one of the canines from a burning home on Monday afternoon, July 6. CPD released the dramatic body camera video Tuesday. Shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday, Caledonia K-9 Officer Cory Radke and his partner, Lou, were on their way home when he saw a lot of smoke in the sky. Nine public housing apartment blocks around Melbourne went into hard lockdown on Saturday, (July 4) for at least five days due to an outbreak of coronavirus, as seen in this drone footage. These three to seven commission flat buildings are among those locked down, and 33 Alfred Street (shaped like an X) is still in hard lockdown after about a quarter of residents tested positive for COVID-19.

A fatal 'unknown pneumonia' with a death rate far higher than that of COVID-19 has reportedly broken out in Kazakhstan, Chinese officials have warned. According to the Chinese embassy's website, which is citing local media reports, the Atyrau and Aktobe provinces, as well as the city of Skymkent, have seen spikes in cases of the disease since mid-June. A statue of Melania Trump has been removed from near her hometown in Slovenia after being badly burned by vandals. The statue, near Sevnica, central Slovenia, was set alight on July 5, Slovenian Police confirmed to CNN Thursday. Brad Downey, the artist who commissioned the piece, told CNN Thursday that he received a call from the local police department asking him what to do with the statue, which was made in July 2019 as part of an ongoing project that includes a short documentary film. On June 21, at just before 1pm, the Milpitas Police Department (MPD) received a report of an incident on North Temple Drive's 130 block. Somebody in an apartment there had been stabbed. Upon the cops' arrival, an armed man, age 19, emerged from a nearby courtyard wielding a knife. Police told him to drop his weapon and surrender. The man charged, though, blade in hand.
